On Dec. 21-22 ,2018，ZJU-Stanford Conference on Insurance Analytics was successfully held at Run Run Shaw Science Building, Yuquan Campus. Prof. WEN Jiwei, Secretary of Party Committee at  School of Mathematical Sciences, ZJU attended the conference and delivered a speech. Ms. CHEN Weiying, deputy Director of Office of Global Engagement,ZJU also attended.

Prof. LI Ziliang from Stanford University made a keynote speech at the conference entitled "Insurance Analytics and Technologies in Big Data Era". Experts and professors from UIUC, CUHK, Central University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics attended the conference. Ms. CHEN Xiujuan, general manager of China Pacific Insurance(group)Co., Ltd. and Ms. LIU Yijun from PingAn Medical & Healthcare co.,ltd delivered speeches at the conference.

The conference aims to enhance academic exchanges between Zhejiang University and Stanford University. Experts and scholars agreed that big data will bring new technologies and methods to the insurance industry. They discussed the prospect of Insurance Analytics and believed that China's insurance industry is still in its infancy in the application of big data, it is necessary to enlarge the online sharing process of insurance data in order to realize the application of big data technology in big insurance industry.
